This offer is made by EZ LICENCE PTY LTD (ABN 43 612 095 968) (EzLicence) to independent driving instructors who:
apply to join EzLicence during the Promotion Period and are approved by EzLicence;
go live on EzLicence during the Promotion Period;
operate in an Eligible Area; and
are not, and have not previously been, an active driving instructor on EzLicence.
An instructor who meets these criteria and is accepted into the offer by EzLicence is an "Eligible Instructor".
Acceptance into this offer is at EzLicence's sole discretion. Places are limited and are only open in selected areas. Applying does not itself confer eligibility.
1. Promotion Period
The Promotion Period runs from 1 October 2026 to 30 November 2026 (inclusive). An instructor must be approved and go live within the Promotion Period to take part.
2. Eligible Areas
This offer is available to instructors with a service area in selected parts of Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Not all suburbs within these regions are eligible. EzLicence will confirm whether an instructor's service area is an Eligible Area during the application process, and EzLicence's determination is final.
3. The Guarantee
EzLicence guarantees that an Eligible Instructor will receive at least 12 Booking Hours in each Guarantee Month, provided the Eligible Instructor satisfies all of the Qualifying Conditions in that Guarantee Month.
Where an Eligible Instructor satisfies all Qualifying Conditions in a Guarantee Month but receives fewer than 12 Booking Hours in that month, EzLicence will pay the Eligible Instructor a Top-Up Payment for the shortfall, calculated in accordance with clause 6.
4. Guarantee Period, Guarantee Months and part months
The Guarantee applies for a maximum of three Guarantee Months.
A "Guarantee Month" is each consecutive period of one calendar month beginning on the date the Eligible Instructor goes live on EzLicence. The first Guarantee Month begins on the go-live date.
Each Guarantee Month is assessed separately and on its own merits. An Eligible Instructor who does not satisfy the Qualifying Conditions in one Guarantee Month may still qualify in another. Booking Hours, shortfalls, and Top-Up Payments are not carried forward, carried back, or aggregated across Guarantee Months.
Part months. Where an Eligible Instructor is not live on EzLicence for the whole of a Guarantee Month, whether because they went live partway through the month, ceased to be active during it, or their account was suspended or terminated during it, both the 12 Booking Hour guarantee and any Top-Up Payment for that month are pro-rated on a daily basis. The pro-rated guarantee is 12 Booking Hours multiplied by the number of days in that month on which the instructor was live, divided by the total number of days in that month. The minimum availability condition in clause 5(a) is averaged over the days the instructor was live rather than the whole month. A pro-rated month still counts as one of the three Guarantee Months.
For example, an Eligible Instructor who goes live on 15 October and is assessed for October is live for 17 of the 31 days in that month. Their guarantee for that month is 12 multiplied by 17, divided by 31, which is 6.6 Booking Hours.
The Guarantee ends at the earlier of the end of the third Guarantee Month, the date the instructor ceases to be active on EzLicence, or the date the instructor's account is suspended or terminated.
5. Qualifying Conditions
To qualify for the Guarantee in a Guarantee Month, an Eligible Instructor must satisfy all three of the following conditions in that Guarantee Month:
(a) Minimum availability. Publish and keep open for booking on EzLicence an average of at least 20 hours of availability per week across the Guarantee Month. Availability is measured after any hours blocked out for the instructor's own private learners are deducted, so only hours genuinely open to EzLicence learners count toward this threshold.
(b) No instructor cancellations. Record no instructor-initiated cancellations of confirmed bookings during the Guarantee Month. An instructor-initiated cancellation is any cancellation of a confirmed booking made by the instructor, or made by EzLicence at the instructor's request, for any reason. Cancellations initiated by a learner do not count against this condition.
(c) Maximum hourly rate. Maintain an advertised hourly rate on EzLicence of no more than AUD $80 per hour for automatic transmission lessons and no more than AUD $84 per hour for manual transmission lessons, for the whole of the Guarantee Month. These amounts are inclusive of GST where applicable. An instructor who raises their advertised rate above these amounts at any point during a Guarantee Month does not qualify for the Guarantee in that month.
An Eligible Instructor who fails any one of these conditions in a Guarantee Month is not entitled to a Top-Up Payment for that month.
6. Booking Hours and how the Top-Up Payment is calculated
"Booking Hours" are hours of driving lessons that:
are booked through the EzLicence marketplace and delivered by the Eligible Instructor during the Guarantee Month;
are fully paid and not cancelled, reversed, refunded, disputed, unpaid, or otherwise invalid; and
are marked as complete through the EzLicence platform.
Lessons delivered to the instructor's own private learners, including lessons managed using EzLicence booking software outside the EzLicence marketplace, are not Booking Hours and do not count toward the Guarantee.
Where an Eligible Instructor satisfies all Qualifying Conditions in a Guarantee Month and delivers fewer than the guaranteed number of Booking Hours for that month, the Top-Up Payment is calculated as:
(the guaranteed number of Booking Hours for that month, less the number of Booking Hours delivered) multiplied by the amount the Eligible Instructor would have received for those hours, being the Eligible Instructor's advertised hourly rate for the relevant transmission type less EzLicence's standard service fee.
The guaranteed number of Booking Hours is 12 for a full Guarantee Month, or the pro-rated figure calculated under clause 4 for a part month.
For example, an Eligible Instructor who satisfies all Qualifying Conditions and delivers 8 Booking Hours in a full Guarantee Month has a shortfall of 4 hours and receives a Top-Up Payment for 4 hours.
The Top-Up Payment is not payment for lessons delivered. It is a payment made by EzLicence to bridge a shortfall against the Guarantee.
7. Payment of the Top-Up
EzLicence will assess each Guarantee Month within 30 days of the end of that month and will pay any Top-Up Payment due to the Eligible Instructor's nominated account within 30 days of that assessment, using the same payment method as the Eligible Instructor's regular lesson payments.
EzLicence will notify the Eligible Instructor of the assessment outcome for each Guarantee Month, including where no Top-Up Payment is due and the reason.
8. Limits
The Guarantee is limited to one instructor account and one instructor. An instructor may not claim the Guarantee more than once, regardless of the number of accounts created, applications made, or service areas registered.
The Guarantee is not available to instructors who were active on EzLicence at any time before the Promotion Period, including instructors returning to the platform, unless EzLicence confirms otherwise in writing at the time of acceptance into the offer.
9. Verification
EzLicence will use its internal records to determine eligibility, Booking Hours, availability, cancellations, advertised rates, and any Top-Up Payment due, and those records will be conclusive in the absence of manifest error.
Where EzLicence reasonably determines that an instructor has claimed or attempted to claim the Guarantee in breach of these terms, or where EzLicence identifies activity it reasonably considers artificial, duplicate, misleading, or fraudulent, including the creation of bookings that are not genuine lessons, EzLicence may withhold or recover any Top-Up Payment, remove the instructor from the offer, and take such further action as is permitted under the EzLicence Driving Instructor Policies, including restriction or cancellation of the instructor's account.
10. Tax
Top-Up Payments are inclusive of GST, where applicable. Instructors are solely responsible for any tax obligations, including GST and income tax, that arise from receiving a Top-Up Payment, and EzLicence will not withhold or remit taxes on an instructor's behalf unless required by law.
11. Amendment and withdrawal
EzLicence reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw this offer at any time and without notice, at its sole discretion. Amendment or withdrawal of the offer will not affect a Top-Up Payment already earned by an Eligible Instructor in respect of a completed Guarantee Month, provided these terms are otherwise satisfied.
12. General
The Guarantee and any Top-Up Payment are personal to the Eligible Instructor. They are non-transferable, non-assignable, and not redeemable for any other benefit.
There is no cost to join EzLicence, no lock-in contract, and no exclusivity requirement. An Eligible Instructor may leave EzLicence at any time. Leaving ends the Guarantee from the date the instructor ceases to be active, and any Top-Up Payment for the part month in which they leave is pro-rated in accordance with clause 4.
All other terms governing instructor participation, bookings, cancellations, payments, and conduct are set out in the EzLicence Driving Instructor Policies, the Driving Instructor Code of Conduct, and the Driving Instructor Cancellation Policy, which continue to apply and are not modified by this offer.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.
To the extent permitted by law, EzLicence's liability in connection with this offer is limited to paying any Top-Up Payment properly due under clause 6.
