How to open extra hours

This will be useful if:

You are a Driving Instructor User of the EzLicence booking platform.

You are trying to:

Work outside your normal hours and open up extra hours on an ad-hoc basis.

Overview:

The extra hours feature allows instructors to open additional availability on an ad-hoc basis without changing their regular schedule. This is useful when you want to offer extra lesson times for a particular day, such as fitting in a new learner, accommodating a reschedule, or taking on more bookings during busy periods.

You might use Extra Hours when:

Fitting in new learners who can’t find a suitable time within your standard availability.
Accommodating reschedules that don’t work within your usual hours.
Taking on additional bookings during particularly busy periods.
Opening up short-term availability when you know you’ll be free on a specific day.
Covering gaps created by cancellations or unexpected changes to your schedule.

By adding extra hours, you can temporarily extend your availability for specific dates while keeping your standard weekly hours unchanged. This gives you greater flexibility and helps learners find suitable times to book with you.

From the menu, select Calendar.

Step 3.

Click anywhere on the calendar to Create an Event OR in the top right, click Create Event.

Step 4.

In this example we are creating extra open hours. Click 'Extra Open Hours'.

Step 5.

Select the date you want to create extra open hours.

Step 6.

Select the start time and end time you want to open. These hours will be added on top of your regular availability for that day.

Step 7.

Click Save to apply the extra hours to your calendar

Once complete, your calendar will display your Extra Open Hours in purple, showing the additional availability learners can book.
