You are trying to:
Understand the calendar functionality in order to maximise success.
Overview:
As a driving instructor, your success relies on the professionalism, reliability, and steady growth of your business. The EzLicence booking system enables you to connect with learners in real-time. However, for this to work seamlessly, it's important to maintain accurate availability and bookings in your EzLicence calendar.
4 keys to successfully managing your calendar and booking availability:
1. Planning Ahead
Learners can view and book lessons up to 75 days or 90 days in advance via the Calendar Settings. By offering a wide booking window, you increase your chances of filling your calendar with students who plan ahead. Be sure to have future availability set in your calendar.
2. Public Holidays and Your Calendar
Your calendar is automatically set to display booking slots on public holidays. This means you will continue to accept bookings on those special days. Consider offering available lesson slots on public holidays for learners who have free time on those days or ensure that you have removed your availability if you plan to take the day off.
3. Last-Minute Bookings: Stay Flexible
Our system allows learners to book lessons based on Instructor's set notice period (default is up to 5 hours) before the desired start time, subject to availability. To cater to last-minute bookings, consider keeping some time slots open for spontaneous learners.
How Notice Periods Work
To make scheduling fair for both instructors and learners, EzLicence applies minimum notice periods and daily cutoffs.
Minimum Notice Period
Instructors choose how much advance notice is required before a booking (e.g. 3 hours, 5 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, or 2 days).
Morning Cutoff (12am–7am)
Bookings made between midnight and 7am will only show availability starting from 7am + the chosen notice period (same day).
Daytime Window (7am–7pm)
During the day, the instructor’s chosen notice period applies as is.
Example: If the notice period is 5 hours and you try to book at 10am, the earliest available time will be 3pm.
Evening Cutoff (7pm–11:59pm)
Bookings made after 7pm will only show availability starting from 7am + the chosen notice period the next day.
Why do we have cutoffs?
These cutoffs ensure instructors have enough time to plan their day, especially for late-night or very early morning bookings.
Your calendar is a valuable asset that can help you attract and retain learners. By following these guidelines and keeping your availability up to date, you're ensuring a smooth booking experience for your students. A well-maintained calendar is a testament to your professionalism and commitment to your learners' needs.
